I have a 2006 X3.. Last week i got this Service Engine soon light on the panel So i took it to BMW dealership...for checkup and thats what the technician found out .. 46077 Permanent malfunction within both before cat oxygen sensors. Verified SES light illuminated. Performed vehicle test found fault code
s 2882 bank 1 fuel trim(lean mixture) and 2883
bank 2 fuel mixture(lean mixture). Smoked tested
I just searched that the Intake Boot problem is related to P0171 and P0174 OBD codes httpwww.bimmerfest.comforumssho...d.phpt499471 So not sure if thats the reason... MY fault codes are 2882 and 2883

Wonder what the purpose is of the P2882 and P2883 from BMWs point of view. If the car seems to be running fine might be worth having your independent tech. erase the codes and
SO with the 2883 2882 codes replace the Lower intake boot first cause I tested my pre cat o2 sensors and they had resistance still so its not that and I do have a K&N CAI installed and I heard the oil can get on the MAF sensor I just reset the codes today and I want to see if it comes back. My lower intake boot appeared to be in working order. I also have a 281e(variable intake system activation) SO

Lean Mixture Preparation Bank 2 error. Not sure what could be causing this but 2 years ago ( 5000 miles to be exact) the Pressure Regulating Valve (CCV) failed and the dealership changed it I have enclosed a photo of all the parts changed . Anyways I was wondering what could be causing this same fault

hey .. i have a 2006 x3 has tsb for these faults for no oe filter have replaced the filter and the ccv then smoke tested intake no leaks no one has ever replaced a mafs for this problem i am a technician why the idle air control valve what does it stick open for a second and let too much air in for a second and send the vehicle into somekind of limp home mode just curious before i throw a part at itit just slides into intake next to t body right
i was so excited to hear of the iac repair i went straight to work the next day and replaced it i didnt have an idle issue but thought maybe it was sticking or not moving quickly enough replaced valve reset codes reset monitors vehicle drove completely different more responsive and shifted like it did when i got it then two days later call from wife cel back on again same faults.. i have a freind

s which I dont have (yet). However a lot of useful information none the less. Any way Im only getting the one code

Actual Generic codes are P0171 and P0174 - both to do with mixture bank 1 and 2 along with the actual Peake codes from above code 2882 (Mixture Preparation Bank 1) and code 2883 ( Mixture Preparation Bank 2) code 276d.....having to do with tank venting or leaking. It turns out the code 20 I staed above is really the Peake Table number not a fault code.

how do i fix these. it says mixture preparation bank 1 and mixture preparation bank 2 in booklet so do i clean maf sensor replace o2 sensors how do i pin point exact problem service engine light reset inspection up. 2004 bmw 330ci 41500 miles done about 30 miles can i bring it in now for inspection or do i have to do 60 miles very confused thank you p.c.

s.They inspected the intake and found a broken vacume hose for fuel pressure regulator broken so I agreed to have them fixed it . The ses light is still on so they reccomend a smoke test to test intake.

my ses light came on i reset it with scanner tool peake r5fcx3 fault code

Eight weeks and 1 day after taking delivery the iDrive has catastrophically failed. I was feeling pretty sorry for myself until I saw the post just started about the 645Ci owner in San Diego whose engine has failed after 10000 miles. I now have 2400 miles on my car. Hey Im not in a contest with your dealer If they did not find any fault codes they have drawn the only logical conclusion corrupted software. A 19.20 could exist I suppose but it would have to be newer than the Svc Bulletin which is entirely possible. Ive been looking through the posts but I cant seem to find a solution that resembles my issue so I was hoping some of you might have some thoughts. The SES (Service Engine Soon) light on my 04 X3 3.0i first came on when I had the emission test completed some time ago it came on about 20min after I left. After checking the gas cap I took the car to my mechanic and had it reset thinking it was a fluke.
hello i have a passat 2.8 v6 4m 2002. the problem is that the car wont start when its warm and sometimes its shuts off. the startmotor is cracking but it wont fire up. when i pull a plug out and then start(warm) there is no spark. but when i put the car in 2nd gear en push the car starts. the temp sensor is changed the engine speed sensor also the plugs are changed checked the wiring from the enginespeed
Hello...im coming here because im sick of getting the run around from the stealerships.... Ok This problem started about a month ago...I went to fill up like normal when i got down to about 18th of a tank. Filled up like normal put the cap on and clicked it two or three times and went to start the car. The car cranked and cranked abnormally for about 60 seconds before starting...i had the filler cap
I got the same codes and another one and i had it come on after i filled the tank [ to full ] . In my case i had put on about 50 miles when the SRS light came on followed by the SES. My codes are 276d 281d 2883 2882 I think it might be intake related as i had recently took out the airbox. Regarding 281d ( BSD Generator- Signal) would anyone know what it means. faulty CAN bus perhaps if yes it a plug & play replacement viable.
Hello everyone I recently purchased a 2004 325xi Auto 111000 miles on her. After a week of trouble free driving I had a problem. My wife drove it home from work parked it in the driveway. About a half hour later I went out to put it in the garage. 1st start I put it in drive and it died. Did this 2 more times. 4th attempt I tried to rev the engine a bit and it wouldnt rev past 2800-3200 rpm let off
Just had my car updated with 19.1 via my local dealer. Anyone else had experience with this latest and greatest I had this done to correct the navaudio system randomly rebooting and also the nav screen going a rather fetching (or should that be retching) shade of green. Hello Does anyone know if is it easy to connect a personal computer to the Body computer on the car I know its possible with the correct software (on PC) and the correct connector for example through a serial port (or USB) on the PC. i know old thread but was hoping for a hand i bought an EOBD reader U480 to be specific i followed instructions to convert 3 (old punto) in to 16 pin (new standard) but the U480 device just gives a read error just wanted to pick someone brains cos i realy need to know what this fault code is.
