Thanks Paul you are correct 2nd drive cycle and CEL is back on again. How do I go fixing this what part do I need to checkclean or replace 2 answers I found on the mb forums p2001 Component N153 (ETC control module) is faulty. p2001 Malfunction of exhaust gas recirculation (functional chain)(P0400). I do not have a P0400 code coming out is it the ETC module is this part of the SBC module just had it

MERCEDES BENZ SLK R170 Fault codes (again)

Guys as myvehicle will be coming out of warranty early next year I had the dealer read the fault codes. They advise that they get the following 1.p2001 which apparently is under voltage on the ETS control unit. 2.C1140128N49 which is apparently the steering angle sensor which has not been initialized. 3.An under voltage reading on Terminal 30. MERCEDES BENZ SLK R170 Bogus diagnosis report from a Mercedes Main dealer

Hi All I have today brought my car home from a main dealer after an MOT and a service (yes I know I should be shot for using a main dealer to begin with) with a shockingly high number of serious faults on my 2002 SLK 320 that has got 35000 miles on the clock. The car failed the MOT and I needed to have a new ball joint and steering damper but thats nothing compared to the other faults they found. When

will just spit out this message if it detects a certain motherboardfirmware version. I found it very suspect when the rep told me another SLK owner also had to have their control unit replaced because of the same problem. Im going to buy a cheap 3rd party OBDII scanner off ebay and see if it throws out the same code its strange how the engine management light never came on with such a serious fault.

I backed out of my garage this morning in my 2003 G500 and when I put it in drive it just made a clicking sound and sits there...like its in park. I let it sit for a while and started it up to warm up for 5 minutes. I just got my car back from body shop and I floor it from a stop and it upshifts does not spin wheels and no power off the line. What could be the problem They replaced all radiators oil cooler heat exch ac condenser rad fan. Tranny fluid level ok. All vacuum hoses look ok. This has kleemann ecutcu so it normally lights up tires even with esp on.

Had dealer run codes and diagnose boost and tranny codes came up p2001 Charge pressure too low and P2318 One or more messages from control unit N155 (Electronic selector lever module control unit) are not available on the CAN bus. (CAN timeout fault) ---both current and stored. Anyone know what I need to do
