You just need a resistor to fool it into thinking the recoil is present I have done it in mine I disconnected the battery before disconnecting it so Im not sure it the fault code will clear itself of if you need to clear it with lexiamultiecuscanalfaobd. Its supposed to be 3.3 ohms 12 watt from memory I paralleled up 3 14 watt 10 ohm resistors because I have thousands of them. You can buy fused ones
Hi check previous post - httpwww.fiatforum.comducato3009...ing-light.html Cheers
Hi folks 50 views but no replies. Damn..... I have the only rattly-dashboarded-ducato Ok anyone got an easy method for removing the radiocd - a clarion CZ102E - cant find it on web site. Special tool needed perhaps Oh what fun..... Happy fiat -ing Cheers John
There should be four holes round the face these are for the radio tool you should be able to get them at halfords Good luck &128512 grout20 thanked for this post
I had the airbag rattle on the Panda. With glovebox out the airbag fixings can be seen. All I did was to slacken them squeeze the airbag module tight into the dash and retighten the fixings. Seems to be ok. I dont know the layout of your dash but I assume youll need to do something similar. Best to disconnect battery for at least 10 minutes before moving airbag. This ensures that the capacitor is discharged so airbag wont go pop. grout20 thanked for this post
It sounds as if they have dislodged a wire somewhere. I would take it to an independant work shop. there are a couple of places I use here but you dont say what area you are in. I would not let the fiat dealers anywhere near my ducato Mike

Your point about only using the dealer for airbag issues is not bourne out by the OPs issues with his light coming on. The dealer has charged him a lot of money and not fixed the problem. As regards to the recall point I went to the dealer with the typical ducato leaking scuttle problem thinking they would fit the engine cover kit that has been introduced to fix this issue to be told they did not know

If its on you have a fault and it needs investigated. Vehicle details

warning light will stay on if an impact of a certain severity causes the activation of the system. The control unit must be replaced because its memory cannot be deleted The Air Bag warning light is the smart type with a control circuit inside the panel that ensures the warning light is properly connected to the control unit. I was talking to an owner the other day with the same problem & the fiat
Hi Have a look on eBay as they are for sale on there as well as some of these places say that they can repair them or just Google fiat ducato airbag ECU It helps if you say which model ducato you have. or try here - httpwww.airbagreset.com Cheers

I dont work for or have any association with the company
must fit an earlier version of the AL-KO TorsionBar rear suspension used on their AL-KO AMC chassis but they might make a similar version for the new type as well worth a try. See attached PDF - just looked - actually it has a listing at the bottom of the PDF for 00-06 models as well the 94-00 models. Hope this helps Attached Files ALKOsupportInfoAlkoUK.pdf (1.45 MB 78 views) __________________ fiat
I have a 2006 ducato 2.8 JTD . See httpwww.fiatforum.comducato1933...ion-alarm.html for my request too. I included the relevant circuit diagram. No responses I think the key is to find connectors D097. These give access to the output of the remote lock and unlock signals from the receiver which is mounted centrally behind the radio. I cannot locate them . Ive had the front facia covers off and searched everywhere except under the passenger airbag. I cant find them PeterM
Hi jct Have not heard of any airbag kits to suit the front of the X250 ducato the only ones I have seen are for the rear suspension. There is the option in europe for factory fitted rear airbags but have not seen any of these so equipped vehicles shipped or available in Australia probably not cost effective to import them out here. So I guess the uprated front springs is the only option unless someone else knows otherwise. Cheers
on my travels ive seen airbags on the rear of many fiat based motor homes and most owners swear by them as for the king springs they should have been standard fitment i replaced mine early on around 10000kms and they have transformed the handling part number for them is KFFR-37 and Repco can get them in for you about 2.5 hours to fit maximum cheers Adam
the electrical connections. 2. Loosen the collar bolt. (underneath) 3. Remove the steering column switch unit. Hi Moodrator Seem to have a problem with the lights not working on my 2003 ducato motorhome and I noticed a little puff of smoke from the top of steering column then no lights recently so assume problem may be wiring loom chafing on steering column. Do you happen to know whether fiat
The air bag circuit is finding a fault and showing you by illuminating the light. You need to access the airbag ecu to find out what the fault is and to clearfix the problem. They are very sensitive to voltageamperage changes so the airbag loom (usually separate) cant be repaired and so should be replaced if damaged. I would recommend the airbag man to look at it. It must of been some pothole

Well I can tell you that the horn push on mine doesnt earth down at the drivers foot well cos Ive just tried removing one at a time and pressing the horn. Worked every time. The earth wires are difficult to trace as they are all black on mine... I would suggest you run a wire from one side of the horn push - one should sound the horn and the other should only sound the horn on pressing the horn push

All I can think is that
I have repaired this fault on a few ducatos now by fitting AMP Weatherpack connectors. Any good quality connectors or splicing will do. The problem is finding the fault in the first place. Ive tested the TPS loom with a good quality multimeter and inspected the pins of the oe connectors under magnifying glass and cant fault them but they still play up in situ even after cleaning and tightening. like an aftermarket version. Attached is an AL-KO PDF covering their three different models. The other has Wabco airbags for commercial vehicles & at the end has a general maintenance & fault section for the bags themselves but does not cover the compressor etc. Cheers Attached Files ALKO_AirSuspensions.pdf (1.56 MB 77 views) AlkoWabcoAir_Models_Maint.pdf (990.1 KB 43 views) __________________ fiat
Just a quick update had the van into the dealers today and they have confirmed that on the ducato the passenger seat is not conected to the warning system. The wiring under the seat is for the airbag system. Regards Stewart
I was replying for the benefit of other people that would find the thread seaching for ducato airbag warning etc.

This is a 2002 model and does not have an airbag. But the problem is not the contacts in the steering wheel I can assure you
Wonder would the actie sport wheel go in youd have airbag then too. httpwww.ebay.co.ukitmfiat-Punto...item3f0bc3e81f

CABIN CRUISER 4X2 (V2) WITH LOAD CAPACITY 14 QUINTALS (Q14) Says no special version so Im assuming its got the single spring not got the reinforced camper springs unless dethleffs modified it. Anyway the parts cross reference for both yields the same parts for standard springs httpwww.autopartoo.comoempartsc...1317684080324 for camper springs httpwww.autopartoo.comoempartsc...131825808055M If youre up around the 3 ton mark all the time and your shocks are ok airbags might be a better investment
rolopolo thats fabulous cant thank you enough for your help. Had intended to spec my own van as have a couple of specifics that probably wouldnt be asked for too often. We use 2 individual seats not the double bench seat and dont use a bulkhead as want access from the cab. Also want a passenger airbag. The reason for maybe a larger tank is the cost of diesel in France is 15-20% cheaper than the UK
