Hi LucB A few members have managed to pack out anti roll bar bushes to remove the play. This may be an option. Details are here under suspension... httpssites.google.comsitefiatmultiplaHomerepairs Moriarty
Check out the multi forum off the main website... www.multiplaowners.co.uk httpuk.groups.yahoo.comgroupmultiplaowners front drop link bushes... every time Moriarty the mundane...
I have started to have the same problem with rattlingknocking fron suspepension on my multipla I have seen stabiliser link bar for a multipla on ebay httpcgi.ebay.co.ukfiat-Marea-Mul...QQcmdZViewItem does anyone know if these are the parts that will solve the problem are they the same as anti roll bar link arms Thanks as always
ive got a mk2 and after the recall it knocked like hell so when it went back they found that the drop links on both sides had worn ( i think dammaged by them when changing the suspension) now on noise whatso ever
(front end) off the floor getting undernath with a pry bar and moving linkages about it took a while but when you put your hand on the rubber bush on the roll bar you can feel it knock. before solving the problem it did feel as if the knocking is just under the floor and i even had all the centre plastic stuff out from inside the car We have also had front springs replaced now with that recall. fiat
Just an update ..Ive now got a pedal that stays and can get all the gears ok now..Still biting low but doesnt crunch..Going to change the O rings on the pipe going into the slave then jack the front up as high as possible and bleed yet again fingers crossed..New front springs on the way so hopefully it will raise the front and make it driveable again
They would have had to drop the bottom arm off to take the strut out the ball joint is pressed into the arm so it sounds like its been disturbed and is probably not sitting in the arm properly. Ball Joints are probably available separately but you will need a press to put it in the arm. A quicker fix is to replace whole arm.
It sounds as though the top mount has gone. Can you post a photo Theyre easy enough to replace. Might be worth sending an email to our man in Lithuania rytismanodalys.lt As he seems pretty price competitive for this sort of stuff (1 Lt about 25p) httpmanodalys.ltproduct.phpid_product1500750169 Hes on this forum as well.
Not sure how to post a photo but it does look as though the top mounts may have gone the rubber around the cup is perished as well. It looks as though to replace the mounts I will need to compress the springs it that right
Yes. You can remove the struts from the car without undoing the nut if yours are anything like mine were ( extremely tight top nut) you wont be able to do them in-situ. Undo the three bolts securing the mount to the inner wing and remove the two bolts holding the strut to the hub assembly. Youll also need to remove the ARB link and unclip the brake hose and ABS cable. Once the strut is out you can
Ive had another look and one of the mounts is almost new and the other although perished a bit seems ok. The noise over uneven ground seems more like a rattle than a real thump even small ridges set it off. Potholes dont seem to cause it to happen.
Thats a lot more than they usually charge if you phone them they will usually give a better deal.
Same firm but sometimes a lot cheaper and there is a site for them just cannot find it at the mo. httpwww.fiatforum.comstilo12804...our-stilo.html
Cannot say if they are good quality but a lot cheaper. httpwww.eurocarparts.comecpcFi...rms-and-Joints

Buy genuine bottom arms ive just had to replace an andrew pages one after 10k and 8 months. Its also shreaded a tyre due to the ball joint failing. Not to mention the drop links due being bent. The original ones did 70k before replacing. I guess that the other side will fail soon aswell.
the tracking will need sorting after this job is done
Thanks Guys Have part snow and just need to build up enthusiasm to change them Cheers Mark
