JEEP WRANGLER O2 Codes P0031P0037P0051P0057

Ive searched and found a few threads but none offer clear resolution. The jeep seems to run great and fuel mileage is normal but I want to fix it properly and get rid of the codes. I installed 2 (upperlower) new NTK O2 sensors in the rear manifold just to make sure it wasnt the actual sensors and it made no difference codes would not even clear with a battery disconnect. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Firstly - make sure you have the right sensors. I purchased a complete set from Rock Auto - Part Numbers 23158 23018 23159 & 23160. The P0031 and p0037 are actually the front cat httpwww.obd-codes.comp0031 P0031 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 1) p0037 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 1 Sensor 2) P0051 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 2 Sensor 1) P0057 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low (Bank 2 Sensor 2) Personally I would be replacing them all....

I replaced the rear circuit to see if it would take away codes P0051 and P0057 and it did not. The downpipe that has the 2 cats in it is not original in fact it looks fairly new and the jeep runs great so I dont think its a cat issue.

JEEP WRANGLER cel codes p0031 p0037 p0052 and p0057

I have an 05LJ and the engine light comes on and off more on than off and when i check the codes i get p0031 p0037 p0051 and p0057. could it actually be just the 02 sensors or something bigger. hard to believe they would all go at the same time.

Id check the fusesrelays having that many triggered at once sounds like an electrical problem.

check the wires at your sensors. sounds like thayre shorting to ground somewhere. i read on a subaru forum not long ago about this happening and the guys wiring on his airfuel sensor and o2 sensor were melted and shorted.

i dont believe there are any relays but there are fuses. look in the fuse box under your hood. youll find the fuse(s) in there. if you had a bad fuse you would be getting a no signal code for you o2. look at your wires for any damage.

JEEP WRANGLER My O2 Sensor Woes...

JEEP WRANGLER II TJ 2005-2006 OBD readiness monitor warranty extension letter

I got a letter from Chrysler today informing me of an extension of the OBD readiness monitor warranty to lifetime coverage. If I experience a problem take it to them and if I paid for repair there is a claim form for reimbursement. I have used the dealer for oil change promotions in the past so I guess they had my info in their records. There was a TSB about this a few years ago (TSB 25-001-07) and

ok after 3 days on laying on concrete very little sleep and PLENTY of cuss words and a fractured knuckle later. i have hit a snag. It started with the jeep not wanting to shift correctly and throwing me a code 37 through the odometer. So i went to replace the TCC and after dropping the pan and replacing the filter i couldnt for the life of me figure out how to drop the valve body to get to the solenoid.

Question 1 what is code 37 p0037 is 12 O2 sensor heater circuit low (problem with heater circuit relay).
