LEXUS CT Is manual MPG calculation more accurate than the CT200h computer MPG calculation

I am just curious almost everyone says that there automatically calculated mileage is 2 miles per gallon too high. Are you assuming that you odometer is 100% accurate this is what almost everyone else is doing. Have you or anyone else validate your mileage calculations I am assuming you are taking measure odometer miles and dividing by gas pump gallons and calling that the exact MPG. Have you validated

Why does it matter I just use the car mpg indication because while I would love to make the Guiness book of records with the highest mileage ever recorded that is not likely given my penchant for passing idiots who have the temerity to attempt to use the same roads as I do and do not drive at my chosen speed. Seriously who cares Isnt the point to hone your driving skills to improve whatever the mpg

LEXUS IS II 2013 P4X what is this part

So my 13 P4X only has 800 miles on it needless to say I havent had it long. I finally got around to crawling underneath it to look around. See the first 2 images below. There is a fat hockey puck looking thing attached to the exhaust above the passenger rear axle near the shock. Its not attached to anything else and it seems like nissan went through a decent effort to attach it to the exhaust. What

they are not going to be sucking any dust into them. I can see where putting some sort of filter on them would keep creepy crawlies out of them but other than that I have no idea why anyone might put them on the vent tubes. LEXUS GS IV L10 2013 Lexus GS 350 Drive Review - AutoWeek

What is it The new lexus GS range is the fourth generation of the companys luxury sport sedan that competes against cars such as the BMW 5-series and Mercedes-Benzs E-class. In this iteration the GS previews new design language that eventually will carry over to the rest of the lexus range. Reactions to the new look have diverged but its clearly not bland. The model will be available with available

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 01ml320 is this a fair price

I finally found another white ml320 with the sport pkg. Its a new car trade at an Infinity dealer. One owner lease trade in and always in Florida no New Orleans floods ..etc. Anyway it has AMG wheels and 45k miles and they dropped price down to 19900.00 from 24.900.00. Im thinking that 18000 would be a fair price. What do you guys think

they do tend to be more problematic when new then go for a while without any problems. Of course later in life they tend to develop more problems but there does seem to be a good period of worry-free driving for the most part. If you donĂ‚„t have the mechanical inclination and donĂ‚„t want to be hit with the rare but ridiculously expensive repair then by all means either buy a warranty or a new lexus.

BMW SERIES 5 E34 Well took to check out for maf and found way more stuff. This car is way more mess

I was freaking out when i first got this car a month ago and within a week someone hit and ran it. So with all the questions and comments and me stressing out so i sat the car to just take a break. So took the car back out and went and passed inspection but the light cover for the side. I just took the car in to a place to look over and boy did i get rude awakening......Lets begin..... first i knew

Its become a brand colour for some japanese cars - i believe the lexus.

BMW SERIES 5 E60 E61 Should I have kept my Lexus ES350

My husband and I recently purchased a certified pre-owned 2008 BMW 535XI. We had previously owned a 2007 lexus ES350 we bought the BMW because we wanted to try something a little different and everyone always said how great a BMW was to drive. I have not even made one payment on the car and it has already been in the shop for service It drove fine for the first week then all of the sudden it started

LEXUS SC II SC400 2008 Z06 ECS SL1500 Paxton SC Install

Okay so here are the results of the East Coast Supercharging SL1500 supercharger kit I installed on my stock 08Z with only 4000 miles on it. After installing the kit and (edit) the base tune Doug at ECS prepared as requested for 91 octane and no meth inj. - the first set of Mustang Dyno runs and tune at Lightspeed Innovations netted 545hp and 571 ft lbs on 91 octane in 70 degree temperatures but I

I can run 91 octane fuel if I have to in 70 degree temps without detonation even when under full load and heat-soaked - although I will be running 93-94 octane fuel whenever possible. I believe he pulled back the timing and richened the mixture in order to avoid detonation on 91 octane and thats partially why its a little shy on hp at the top end compared to what some others are making with this

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS E III 211 2005 E500 Cracked Fuel Pump

One of the fuel pumps on my 2005 E500 cracked spewing gas into the interior of my vehicle - under the back seat to be specific. It totally ruined the seat and components underneath. I had to have it all replaced to the tune of 1600. MB Corp refused to acknowledge it was a defective part - manufactured incorrrectly as stated by THEIR auto body shop. Although my warranty is up they should have covered

Drivbiwire - I dont care how much of a Benz expert you proclaim you are....the gas somehow seepedspewed into the well UNDERNEATHE my rear seat... so yes appearantly something is defected there - be it a clamp the housing unit hose or whatever part you want to identify. What is factual here is that the ENTIRE rear seating of my Benz was destroyed and had to be replaced The part was defective - bottom line. fuel pumps do not crack open. Sure they malfunctionbreakdown but not fall apart and the manufacturer should be held accountable. To better inform you I purchased a 50k luxury vechicle. Of course I properly maintain it and get all of the scheduled maintenances done as I reach the required mileage. If I could not afford the maintenance I would not have purchased my second MB. I would have chosen a cheaper car. By the way I also own a luxury SUV that Ive had no problems out of and each encounter w the dealership has always been stellar - I have no complaints. On the otherhand MBs customer service could stand some improvement. Their reputation is established. In fact its concrete so is their history. All I am saying here is due to the way that Ive been treated by MB instead of purchasing the S550 like I planned. I will look into the BMW 750 Jag XJ & lexus 430 and I do not need your approval or comments. Enjoy your day.

accurately calculate the amount of fuel remaining in the pump hose each time Do we actually know if the person before us used various tricks that are available to drain the remaining fuel from the hose Do we actually know how accurate the pumps we are using are Come on The indicated mpg may not be 100% accurate but I bet it fluctuates a lot less than the variables on our calculations do. Besides isnt

LEXUS CT Theres Nothing Wrong with the Car...

I Know There are already plenty of threads on CT mileage results but this one is a little different. Ive had my CT for just over 6 months and my day to day mileage results have been to say the least fairly unimpressive at 36-38 mpg. I am doing a little better now closer to 38 than 36 but nothing to indicate that I was EVER going to see really impressive numbers Ive posted many times about the probable

NISSAN MAXIMA I Ticking when I accelerate. Hoses water pump oil or transmission

I have recently been getting a ticking noice while accelerating. I had regular oil changes and my antifreeezecoolant has been fine. Could it be something with the transmission I have 82350 miles on my 2002 Infinity I35.

Hi I just join this forum to seek answer to the same problem with my 2004 I35. Around 1800-2300rpm at any speed I would hear the rattlingpinging ticking dieseling noise. Basically the cheap-gas noise. But I have been using only premium since new and have been changing oil (Mobil1 10W-30) every 5-7000 miles. From what I can gather on-line I used SeaFoam in 1 tankful then had Pepboys did a fuel system clean for 107. Then I cleared the ECU by leaving the neg battery post unconnected overnight. The noise is now reduced to a narrower band bw 2000-2100rpm but it is still there. I also read about SeaFoam through the PCV and cleaning the MAF. But where is the MAF Is it inside the air induction system Is it easy to do for a non-mechanic Will these 2 steps get rid of the problem Other posts also mentioned bad O2 sensor How do I test mine The Check Engine light does not come on in my I35. Other posts still said that the noise could be from timing chain hitting the cover. I wonder what is the percentage of VQ engines have this problem. The Infiniti dealer was no help. They only want to push for 60k 90k service and without engine light or code they think its ok. One guy even tells me that its designed that way Well I have a Nissan Quest with 218k miles and its certainly not designed that way. So yes Im down on Infiniti right now. If I can figure this out Im going to write Inifiniti about it then trade the thing in for a lexus. Thanks in advance.

LEXUS SC II SC400 02 Frontier SC - Timing belt & VCV Questions

2002 Frontier SC 100K I recent bought this truck from a private seller knowing I had a few issues to fix. Unfortunately Im finding a few more on top of the ones I had known about. Its a good truck and I want to get it in the condition it should be in. My first issue is a grinding sound coming from the engine compartment. On first thought I presumed it was a tensioner pulley bearing of some sort but

Generally speaking the belt wont make that kind of noise. Its probably the SC bearings. When you do the belt. You may as well replace the water pump while you are in there. Also do the 90deg hose in there as well. If either fails later you will have to tear it down all the way again to get to the water pump or hose. The code with evap is most likely the fuel cap. If its not on tight it throw a code

BMW SERIES 3 E90 E91 E92 E93 Oil change intervals with turbos

Has anybody heard anything yet from their service manager about the oil change service intervals with these turbo engines I know that 10 years ago turbo engines required oil changes every 3000 miles but since then technology has improved and oil has improved but I still cant imagine a turbo going 18000 or so miles before even the first service. If theres one thing a turbo needs its good oil. Has anybody

MERCEDES BENZ 124 124 Hello - Buyers Questions

Im looking to purchase my first Benz upon many recommendations on reliability and build quality. Im looking into an 86 300E with only about 89k miles. From what I understood from the current owner the odometer stopped working about 11 months ago which from my understanding and reading is a common problem. Being that this isnt his primary vehicle he estimated driving about 40 miles a month after the

The 124 chassis Benz wasis an extremely well-built army tank of a vehicle with relatively low electronic content. They were designed and built at a time when MBZ engineers could design a vehicle to their standards and then sell it for whatever they chose to price it at. Those days ended with the arrival of lexus Infiniti etc. in the early 90s but the 124 was in production and largely unchanged until

MERCEDES BENZ CLASS M W163 Seeking advice on buying an ML

Hello I have had older MBs (190E E320) and have been very satisfied with them. I am now looking at buying a used ML and would be intersted in any suggestions as to getting a better model year as well as engine size. This would be a daily driver goal is for a decent ride and reliability. Any suggestions much appreciated Tony.

brake pad wear - more on the V8s faulty windows switches etc. As for fuel consumption - thats one of the reasons why I sold my ML430 the very best it ever achieved was 20mpg on the flat at a constant 55mph other wise it was low teens round town and 16-17mpg on a run. The maintenance on an ML can really build up over a time. It was the happiest day of my life when I sold it and bought a hybrid lexus

INFINITI FX so heres why my next car probably wont be an infiniti

ive said it before....again and again.... SERVICE AHHHGGGGGGG the wife and i both notice a bad hard pulsating in her G35 brakes and it only has 9K miles on it. it immediately screams warped rotors to me so we have the local delaer look at it. she calls and asks to have it looked at and that she needs a loaner becuase of work. they say ok. when she gets there there is no loaners and she has to get them

parts to be replaced. And if they cant do it RIGHT AWAY then they can come out with me and watch me replace them THE RIGHT WAY. This has really soured (sp) us on Infiniti. Mainly the service. The car is good but their service sucks. And all they care about is the service survey. Well that will be a fun one to fill out. The lease is almost up and we will keep it but the next vehicle will be a lexus
