Hi Tomobr br it does not matter which model G-wagen the manual is for - the Webasto water-heaters and their controls are all the same provided the year is correct.br br Cheers - frank
The heater is a diesel unit. I know that you can get the w210 with 5kW heater but wass just wondering if there is any other things that i have to after install..
You are likely are talking about Webasto heater. This is rare option on cars and completely unknown in US where most members are from. I know those units from RV applications. They are very expensive and pretty unreliable. Meaning would I have to spend the money on replacement - I would rather idle the engine. Unless you sleep in the car every other night.
I am it is a Webasto heater. The thing is that here in Denmark at winter it gets pretty cold and the CDI machine have trouble to maintain the optimal engine temp. That&8217s why in Denmark the 3 kW heater I mounted as standard as an help heater for the CDI machine you can after og order the benz with timer or a 5kW heater so that you can heat the engine and cabin before starting.

if your g has webasto parking heater you might get help at www. techwebasto.com or at www.webasto.com good luck
Thank you for your information. I just leave the heater problem as it is for I dont use it much anyway. And I found some fuses set on the body of Webasto could be blown but they are not very cheap.
on German eBay. If you find one make sure it is 12 volt as there are many 24 volt systems out there as well. If its more complicated than that you can take the whole thing out and send it to Ark Mirvis a.k.a. the heaterman. He is well known in the VW community for rebuilding the EberspÃcher BN4 gas heaters common to many older VW models which function in a manner similar to the Webasto units in mercedes.
Why not go for a electrical heater like this one DEFA WarmUp - Engine heaters These are very common here in cold Norway cheap to install and to use and work wonderfully.
